Microbiology

Microbial susceptibility testing is performed on a variety of specimens using microscopy. This includes cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for bacteria, feces for parasites, and urine for cells and crystals. Additionally, bacteriology, serology, mycology, and parasitology are conducted on all types of specimens.

Bacteriology

Using a bacterial culture approach, specimens can be collected from blood, urine, skin, or any part of the body where an infection is suspected. The culture is conducted in a controlled environment that supports cell growth. The test results depend on the type of bacteria suspected and the time required for bacterial growth. This method includes cultures from sputum, blood, throat, stool, urine, and even wounds.

Expert Engineers

Serology is utilized at Aspire Lahore Lab to detect antibodies in the blood, which are formed in response to pathogens like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other parasites. This method is especially important for testing COVID-19 antibodies, providing an indirect way to determine if someone has been previously infected. Aspire Lahore Lab employs advanced techniques such as ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay), GICA, and CLIA to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Mycology

Mycology is done to detect fungus. The specie of fungus is also detected using this test which is helpful in suggesting diagnosis of different type of diseases.

We test for a variety of endocrine disorders, including those related to Testosterone, Cortisol, Insulin, c-peptide, thyroglobulin, Parathyroid Hormone, and Hemoglobin A1c.

We test for inherited genetic disorders such as Thalassemia, Cystic Fibrosis, Phenoketonuria, and Methylmalonic Acidemia (MMA).

We perform Protein electrophoresis, B2M, and various Radiological interventions for the diagnosis and monitoring of Plasma Cell Myeloma.

Our turnaround time varies depending on the test, but we strive to provide accurate and reliable results as soon as possible.
